Hydrohog blocks, when they have been hydrated with seven litres of water, turn to a vitimin rich mulch, which can be added to your compost to keep your plants hydrated, with no need for watering. The product benefits plant growth even through the driest of weather conditions keeping your plants hydrated all year round.
As Hydrohog is 100% natural, the hydrated product slowly composts away, releasing goodness into the plant. These benefits have been monitored for up to three years.
Hydrohog comes in 1kg blocks and also as a fines which can be brushed into lawns or put down before turfing/seeding the lawn then watering it in. The fines can also used for storing bulbs in to keep them moisture free.
You can’t add too much water to a Hydrohog block. It will only absorb up to seven litres. Overwatering the product before you add it to your soil/ compost can lead to excess moisture needing to be drained off. This is easy to do.
