Step 1

Place One Hydrohog block into a bucket and cover with 7 litres of cold water

Step 2

Leave for up to 60 minutes, occasionally stirring to help the block separate and absorb the fluid

Step 3

Ensure all water has been absorbed. If there is still some water left, leave it for a little longer

Step 4

Empty the 7 litres of mulch from the bucket and prepare to add to your preferred soil or compost

Step 5

Add 7 litres of Hydrohog mulch to approximately 20 litres of compost or add the mulch directly to your plant-pot a good two inches into the pot and top up with fresh oil/comport

Step 6

Once Hydrohog is added to your soil it forms together to create a hydrated surface. Water and rain water helps speed this process along.

Step 7

Check on the hydration levels occasionally and top-up if required. We find topping up is only required in arid summers. It should last your whole growing season.
